मन्दोऽप्यमन्दतामेति संसर्गेण विपश्चितः।
पङ्कच्छिदः फलस्येव निकषेणाविलं पयः॥

Even a dull person becomes sharp by keeping company with the wise, as turbid water becomes clear when treated with the dust-removing fruit of 'Reetha'.

बुद्धिमानों के साथ से मंद व्यक्ति भी बुद्धि प्राप्त कर लेते हैं जैसे रीठे के फल से उपचारित गन्दा पानी भी स्वच्छ हो जाता है।
